The
stories of the employees who are part of
Elbit’s story
“While studying for my third
academic degree I started to feel that I wanted to apply
my knowledge and make an impact. I lacked the sense of
mission, and I wanted to contribute to the
country’s
security.”
Olga, Head of the Algorithms
Team, ISTAR & EW
Division
“I started working at Elbit about 9
years ago, on the recommendation of a good friend. I
wanted to apply my knowledge in physics and make a
difference.
At the time, I lacked a sense of mission and wanted to
contribute to national security. Now, my position at
Elbit definitely reflects those ambitions and
it’s very exciting to see our influence on the
final product. I can only say that these are excellent
systems.”
“There may be more flashy positions
out there. But when you are part of a project and at the
end of it, the IDF Chief of Staff says, “Well
done. Great job,” it’s an experience
on a completely different
level.”
Nir, Head of Client
Infrastructure and Automation, C4I and Cyber
Division
“My career at Elbit began just under
a decade ago, as a developer on a team that created a
unique system. The system ended up earning the Israel
Defense Prize. From there I moved into the area of
infrastructure, developing and leading a client team,
which I currently head. Our job is to produce an
infrastructure that will provide a basis for many varied
products, which are marketed in Israel and abroad. On
the one hand, it’s fascinating because I
interface with several projects. On the other hand,
it’s a lot of responsibility.
There’s a difference between making something
work well – and producing something that will
be a basis for change, according to specific customer
needs.”
"Since I started working at Elbit,
the scope of the company’s activity has
increased five-fold, and so has the complexity of the
projects.”
Liat, Senior Control Manager,
Finance Department, Company
Headquarters
“Elbit is a very dynamic company,
constantly developing financially and on a business
level. Since I started working here, the scope of the
company’s activity increased five-fold. From
sales of less than a billion dollars a year, the company
has grown to volumes of over five billion –
and with it, the complexity. Together with my team, we
perform complex economic analysis and report to the
company’s management and board of directors.
Every project is an interesting new challenge in the
decision-making processes at the key
points.”
“We work on projects that bring
innovation and robotics into the soldier’s
environment.”
Yariv, Business Area Manager,
Land & IMI Division
“My role is to provide solutions that
reshape the battlefield. The technology of the
pilot’s helmet is one of the solutions we
brought tank commanders to enable them to conduct all
combat from within the armored vehicle using the Iron
Vision platform. Iron Vision connects them to the
tank’s 360-degree peripheral cameras and
observation in the field – so they can see
everything happening around the tank without lifting
their head out of the turret. As a company and battalion
commander - I know just how fundamental this
is.”
“Several years ago, I made a
professional change and wanted to create something
innovative and from scratch that would make a a wide
impact. During my first days at Elbit, I sketched out my
vision, and I didn’t stop until it became
real.”
Omer, Director, Head of Big Data
& AI, Global Operations
Division
“Three years ago, we established an
innovative venture in the fields of Big Data and AI that
connects the entire value chain under one product. This
enables the inclusion, leveraging, automation, and
management of unstructured data into a business asset.
As engineers and technologists, we understood the need
but searched for a differentiator. We created a common
language for data, which is as complex as human language
and contains not only words, but also the contexts
between them. It was a crazy process beyond anything you
could imagine – from presenting the idea and
getting investment and management support, to recruiting
a team that would lead the complete development of this
transformative product.”
“After working on a platform for 6
years, it has recently been installed for testing on an
aircraft, and it's exciting to see things in
action.”
Dvir, Technical Manager and
System Engineering Team Leader, Aerospace
Division
“Information sharing between aircraft
and ground systems is one of Elbit’s focuses.
We spent a long period developing a connectivity system
to enrich the operational capabilities of the pilot, and
pull in and consider all the data required for mission
optimization by everyone involved. This has recently
moved into a comprehensive testing and experimentation
phase on an aircraft. It’s exciting to finally
see our work in action!”
