Space Camera System Engineer

We develop and supply a broad portfolio of airborne, land, and naval systems and products for defense, homeland security, and commercial applications
We are looking for a System Engineer to join our Space Division and lead system engineering activities for advanced space camera development programs
This role involves working across all development phases—from design to integration and delivery—while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
Perform system engineering tasks for space camera development and integration throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate and work closely with system engineers and cross-functional teams (electronics, mechanics, materials, algorithms, reliability, and more)
Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed engineering specifications
Prepare and maintain system documents, specifications, design documents, and test plans
Manage and update system performance budgets across all development stages
Plan and execute development tests, including test design, supervision, data analysis, and conclusions
Update and expand the main integration plan (MITP) to ensure full compliance with engineering, functional, and environmental requirements
Define and develop integration and testing phases, including creating dedicated tools to improve efficiency and shorten schedules
Hands-on work in assembly and testing labs
Define integration infrastructure requirements, support procurement processes, and manage subcontractors until full implementation
Requirements
B.Sc. in Electro-Optics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics – must
M.Sc. in Engineering – advantage
Minimum 3 years of experience in integration of multidisciplinary systems – must
Minimum 3 years of experience in electro-optical system engineering – must
Proven experience in requirements analysis, specification writing, interface definition, and V&V planning
Experience with Matlab / Python / LabVIEW for data processing and analysis
Understanding of camera calibration processes and image quality analysis – advantage
Familiarity with space systems development – advantage
