Senior Security Engineer

Elbit Systems C4I and Cyber Division, located in Netanya, is looking for a Senior Security Engineer — a key player who operates at the intersection of system architecture design and hands-on technical execution. In this role, you will lead the design and build of secure-by-design environments for next-generation defense projects in cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

Main Responsibilities
Design and lead the security architecture for Cloud (AWS/Azure) and Hybrid environments from the ground up
Implement and manage advanced protection solutions including Next-Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and Cloud WAF services
Directly manage cloud security platforms such as Wiz and Prisma Cloud, and leverage native cloud security services
Deploy and operate EDR/XDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) and perform advanced server hardening
Define and implement security controls for modern applications and APIs
Act as the technical security authority for R&D and DevOps teams to ensure “Security by Design” throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements
At least 6 years of experience in Cyber Security Engineering, with a strong hands-on approach
Proven experience designing and configuring secure networks and enterprise-level Firewalls
Strong technical background with AWS or Azure security ecosystems
Demonstrated experience deploying and managing enterprise-scale EDR solutions
Proficiency in creating detailed security designs and technical documentation for complex environments
Experience with AI/ML security frameworks or LLM protection — Advantage
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, PCNSE, or AWS Security Specialty — Advantage
Knowledge of defense-grade security standards (NIST 800-53/171, ISO 27001) — Advantage
