Product Manager

In addition to GIS, the team works on cutting-edge SW projects in the fields of computer vision, AI, and image processing

As the first PM to join the team, one of the key challenges in this role will be to establish and define the Product Management function in the organization from the ground up, and the partnership with the R&D leadership. Together, you will shape the role's responsibilities and ensure alignment between product strategy and technical development

Responsibilities:

Build relationships with customers and R&D leadership to prioritize product updates that align with business goals and customer needs

Establish the group's Road Map, achieve consensus and communicate it clearly to all stakeholders, internal and external

Lead the effort of selecting and adopting a software development management platform (e.g., Jira, Monday) for the R&D group

Act as the primary point of contact with clients to understand their needs and challenges and lead the collection, analysis and prioritization of requirements, to ensure R&D focus

After the initial onboarding phase, assess the need for expanding the Product function with R&D leadership

Upon the decision to expand the Product Management function –Shape, grow and lead a product management team as needed, according to established organizational goals & objectives

Qualifications:
Meaningful hands-on experience (5+ years) as a SW developer 
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Manager for SW products
Experience with the field of GIS and mapping
Experienced in leading Product teams while partnering with organizational leadership functions (R&D, Business, etc.)
Strong track record of defining product strategy and building detailed roadmaps
Hands-on experience with software development management platforms (Jira, Monday, etc.)
Excellent client-facing and communication skills with the ability to gather, simplify and prioritize customer requirements
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence internal and external stakeholders
Proven familiarity with the defense industry, AI, or computer vision – Advantage
